- What is Nissan Data Voice?

Nissan Data Voice is an enhanced engine management, observation, diagnostic and tuning system for use with the Nissan 300ZX model Z32 which has an OBDI diagnostic port. Nissan Data Voice can be used as a real time tuning aid when used with the Moates Ostrich II eprom emulator. Tune fuel and timing maps in real time. Edit any BIN file parameter. View, edit and compare multiple BIN files at the same time.

- What is special about Nissan Data Voice?

Nissan Data Voice is the first vehicle diagnostic software with a voice. By voice, Nissan Data Voice can inform you of the status of vehicle sensors, fault codes and the current system status of the Nissan Data Voice software. If using Nissan Data Voice with Windows 7, Windows Vista or other versions of Windows which have speech recognition installed as part of the operating system found in control panel, you will also be able to give voice commands to Nissan Data Voice and hear Nissan Data Voice reply. There are multiple voices to choose from, both male and female. If using Nissan Data Voice while driving you can have it announce the status of a vehicle sensor at a timed interval that you select. You can even have it alert you if you exceed a speed or water temperature that you choose. Nissan Data Voice simplifies diagnostics in that you do not always need to look at the computer when diagnosing your vehicle's problems.

- What is needed in order to use Nissan Data Voice?

A computer using Windows 7, Windows Vista or Windows XP. An interface such as the Consult, or BLAZT to connect your computer to your vehicle's diagnostic port. If performing real time tuning you will need to purchase the Moates Ostrich II.

- What does Nissan Data Voice do?

Has a voice which can be turned ON or OFF.

Voice Announce. Allows you to input a phrase that will be announced when Nissan Data Voice starts.

Voice monitor. When set to ON will speak the current value of the selected sensor along with the sensor name.

Selectable Voice Monitor intervals. Allows you to select how often you would like the Voice Monitor to speak.

Voice Type. Allows you to select from eight different voice types.

Automatic detection of available comports.

Variable comport settings.

Compatible with ConZult (old and new), Consult, BLAZT and other interfaces.

Stay on top selection. Allows Nissan Data Voice to remain as a focused window above others.

Sensor View. Allows you to select viewing all main sensors or a selectable large sensor view.

Map Viewer. Allows you to view all six tuning maps. High/low octane fuel, high/low octane high gear fuel, high/low timing and all their respective RPM and TP scales.

Displays the ECU model number and injector K value on startup.

A status window which tracks selections that have been made while using Nissan Data Voice.

Bin File Viewer. Allows you to view all information in a BIN file, open multiple BIN files viewers so that you can compare tunes. It contains a register reference which allows you to instantly check vital values related to ECU tuning.

E.C.U. Register Viewer. Allows you to view individual registers in the Microprocessor in real time and will calculate and display vital values related to ECU tuning. These are the values which are loaded by the currently installed tuned EPROM.

Reads ECU Fault Codes. Fault codes are spoken to you and displayed in the status window so there is no need to look up what a fault code is.

Clears fault codes without disconnecting the battery.

Color Select. Allows you to select either all sensor or individual sensor background colors, start colors and end colors.

Speed Alert. Allows you to set a speed limit and choose whether or not to alert you if exceeding the set speed with either a voice,
a message window or both.

Water Temp Alert. Allows you to set a water temperature and choose whether or not to alert you if the water temperature
has exceeded the set value with either a voice, a message window or both.

- How does Nissan Data Voice compare to other tuning software such as NISTune?

When used for tuning, Nissan Data Voice is used with the Moates Ostrich II eprom emulator. NISTune is an eprom emulator just as the Moates Ostrich II. The means of communicating with them are different. NISTune uses the vehicles diagnostic port for the software connection. Nissan Data Voice uses the vehicles diagnostic port for diagnostics and a USB cable connected to the Moates Ostrich II for tuning. Just as NISTune, Nissan Data Voice only needs one cable connected (the USB cable) during tuning. Nissan Data Voice can tune everything NISTune can tune. Both the Moates Ostrich II and NISTune are plugged into a 28 pin socket which must be installed into the ECU. They both replace the ECUs eprom.

- What are advantages of using the Moates Ostrich II?

The Moates Ostrich II plugs into the 28 pin socket using a ribbon cable much like the cable that connects to a computers hard drive.
The Moates Ostrich II does not need an extra harness soldered into the ECU to provide its power.
The Moates Ostrich II can be disconnected without needing to disconnect the cars battery providing vehicle theaft security.
The Moates Ostrich II can be disconnected from the cable in the car and taken inside the home where changes can be made using your home computer.
The Moates Ostrich II can store 8 banks of tunes. With Nissan Data Voice you can instantly change between 8 tunes with a click of the mouse.
Any diagnostic or tuning software for the Nissan 300ZX (excluding NISTune) can be used with the Moates Ostrich II (the Moates Ostrich II functions exactly like the original eprom except that it can be tuned).

- What can Nissan Data Voice tune?

Nissan Data Voice can tune everything NISTune can tune and more. With Nissan Data Voice's Bin File Editor, Nissan Data Voice can tune any value at any location within the eprom data. With Nissan Data Voices's Tuning Manager, tuning is made easy. All major tuning parameters are automatically converted and displayed when changes are being made.

- What about software updates for Nissan Data Voice?

Nissan Data Voice software updates are free to registered users. As a registered user you will be entitled to any and all updates to include any expanded version of Nissan Data Voice in the future. You can always check for updates by visiting the Nissan Data Voice website, checking for updates from the software if online or by emailing support@nissandatavoice.com.

- What if I want to use Nissan Data Voice on multiple computers?

When you purchase Nissan Data Voice you may use it on any computer that you own for your own personal use. To do this, you install Nissan Data Voice on your other computers and generated the registration key. Send in the registration key and another product key will be created and email to you.
